1. Introduction
duotube (the "App") is an iOS YouTube viewer application developed by PlayMind Co. It lets you play two YouTube videos side by side in a split-screen layout. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not require account registration and does not collect personal information such as your name or email address.
Information You Save (stored locally only)
- Bookmarked YouTube video URLs and titles
- Names of organizing folders
- Display settings such as the split-screen ratio
This information is stored only on your device (including local storage within the App Group used for the Share Extension) and is never transmitted to external servers.
YouTube Video Playback
The App uses the official YouTube IFrame Player API to embed and display videos. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may independently set cookies and collect viewing-related data. This is processed according to YouTube's and Google's own privacy policies, and the App does not manage or store this data itself. Information Collected for Advertising (Google AdMob)
This App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect the following information for ad delivery purposes:
- Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
- IP address
- Ad interaction data
Collected data is not linked to your personal identity (such as your name or email address), but it may be used for advertising delivery and measurement across other companies' apps and services (tracking). For more details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Tracking (App Tracking Transparency)
For advertising delivery and measurement purposes, the App displays the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt on first launch. If you choose "Allow," your advertising identifier may be used for tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," your advertising identifier will not be used for tracking purposes.
4. How We Use Your Information
Information stored by the App is used solely for:
- Displaying your bookmarks and folders for quick access to videos
- Passing along videos selected via the Share Extension
- Displaying advertisements (Google AdMob)
5. Data Storage
Bookmarks, folders, and related data are stored only on your device (including local storage within the App Group). No data is sent to cloud services or external servers.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.
6. Sharing of Information
Information you save, such as bookmarks, is never shared with third parties. However, the App relies on the following third-party services, which may process data according to their own privacy policies:
- YouTube / Google (video playback and embedded display)
- Google AdMob (advertising)
7. Security
Your data is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including device-level encryption and app sandboxing.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Your Rights
- You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App
- You can change your App Tracking Transparency permission at any time from the Settings app
